Dragonflies is our Grade 00/RR class, where school readiness really starts to take shape. Children follow a structured daily programme built around the CAPS curriculum, with a Morning Ring, letters and phonics, numeracy concepts, themed learning and plenty of creative and outdoor play.
We build on the independence and social skills learned in Bugs, with a growing focus on concentration, following multi-step instructions and working both independently and as part of a group. Fine motor activities, pencil control and early reading readiness are woven into everyday play so that learning always feels like fun.
Termly progress reports keep parents closely involved in each child's development as they prepare for their final year before formal schooling in Butterflies.
